Please of course follow the fundamental rules of animal breeding, so that the existing genes are not just mixed.

Virtual group pairing

Virtual group pairing / Breeding plan

With the help of the power search, select a group of animals. Use any parameter.

You can now select the search results and store them as a group of animals.

This search can be repeated as often as you wish and any number of groups of animals can be stored.

These groups can be found on the ‘Groups of animals’ page.

Now, you can perform calculations for a single group or mate as many groups with one another as you wish.

To do this, select the appropriate groups of animals and click on the button at the bottom of page.

Now, a new virtual group is created. For this purpose, each female is theoretically mated with any male animal.

The filters are the same as in the virtual individual pairing:

- capable of pairing

- and alive

- or is there a sperm bank

You can now perform the calculations for this group.

The calculation result can be shown:

1. grouped by mothers

2. grouped by fathers

3. or in the general summary.

Now, this list would be far too confusing. All of the high inbreeding coefficients are not of any interest to us in the breeding plan. Therefore, you can filter this virtual pairing output further: For example, we could just interest ourselves with those animals that have a CGE of at least 4, that is where at least 4 generations are fully recorded in the pedigree and where the inbreeding coefficient less than or equal to 5.

As such, with a few clicks you are able to recommend pairings to the owners of females in order to broaden the genetic base. Based on this pre-selection, this person can now select an appropriate pairing for his/her animal from this list using his/her eye as a breeder and his/her idea of type etc.
